More Research Opportunities!

Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU):

An REU is a summer research opportunity that is funded by the National Science Foundation. They are intense research programs offered by various universities. Students who are admitted to a program are given a stipend that typically covers cost of travel, food, housing, etc. with a little extra for fun! REU’s are typically in STEM fields, and cover a very specific topic, i.e. “Arithmetic Geometry and Number Theory at Emory University”. REU's usually last 8-10 weeks and usually begin in mid-May or early July. REU applications generally require an application essay, a CV, and letters of recommendation. Deadlines range from January-March.
